Stellar Insurance Brokers is a family owned and run business. Mike started the business with one client in 2003 and has built the business up one client at a time over the last 17 years. And yes, that first client is still a current client.

Mike began his long insurance career as an underwriter and spent 28 years with CGU Insurance in various roles. He was the State Manager of Queensland when he left in 2003 to become a broker.

Mike has a wealth of experience in the insurance industry and, backed by his reputation, has built strong relationships with underwriters and peers.

Customer service underpins everything at Stellar Insurance Brokers and is the reason the business exists today. The team is small, but the service is big.

Stellar Insurance Brokers is a family business in every sense of the word. Mike’s daughter Kirsty Dowell is co-Director and has been working in the business for 16 years and plays an integral part in the day to day running of the business. Stellar Insurance Brokers is named after Kirsty’s daughter Stella, who is Mike’s first grandchild. The logo was designed by Mike’s stepson Mitchell Reuss and his wife, Annie Pappalardo, created this website and assists with marketing.
